Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Zipping Valerie and Zipping Aubry were quick to begin.  Jordy's Express and Recapture Time collided soon after the start checking Jordy's Express.  Howdy Slim and Double Breeze collided approaching the first turn checking Double Breeze.  Jordy's Express brushed the running rail on the first turn.  Howdy Slim and Double Breeze collided on the first turn checking Double Breeze.  Bull's Roar was checked off Zipping Abury on the home turn.  Recapture Time raced wide in the home straight.  Bull's Roar and Howdy Slim collided approaching the winning post.

Camulos and Zipping Malibu were quick to begin.  Bodine and Whakahoro collided soon after the start checking Bodine.   Fernando Mick and Nihari Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Fernando Mick.  Bodine  and Whakahoro collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Nihari Bale and Celtic Gypsy collided approaching the home turn checking Celtic Gypsy.  Gippsland Storms and Nihari Bale collided entering the home straight checking Nihari Bale which stumbled as a result.  Nihari Bale was checked off Bodine  in the home straight.

Fernando Mick underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a split webbing on the right hind foot.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Whakahoro underwent a post race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to handler, Mr Mitchell White after the greyhound performed below market expectation. After hearing evidence from Mr White, viewing all the available race footage and considering the interference sustained during the run, Stewards took no further action.

Prince Jed  and Showtime Boomer were slow to begin. Kalbarri was checked off Showtime Boomer approaching the first turn.  Aston Guilder and Magnetic Steff collided on the first turn checking Aston Guilder.  Aston Guilder crossed out and collided with Sunnyside Pride on the home turn checking Aston Guilder.  Aston Guilder raced wide in the home straight.

A post race sample was taken from Prince Jed - the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr Matthew Clark, the handler of Showtime Boomer regarding the greyhound initially being placed in the incorrect starting box before being relocated into the correct starting box.  Acting under GAR 86(o), the Stewards charged Mr Clark for placing Showtime Boomer in the incorrect box during the boxing process, which was considered negligence. Mr Clark pleaded guilty to the charge. A fine of $100.00 was imposed. 

Especial One – Late scratching at 6.04pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Miss Knott was fined $100.

Dyna Xervo was checked off Full Tilt soon after the start.  Craggy Island and Thandie Bale collided approaching the first turn severely checking Thandie Bale.  Full Tilt, Craggy Island and Citadel Of Chaos collided on the first turn checking Full Tilt.  Dyna Xervo was checked off Citadel Of Chaos entering the home straight.

Thandie Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured right hock.  A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Johnny Be Good was quick to begin.  Jacky's Eden and Cosmic Ox collided on the first turn checking Cosmic Ox and severely checking Jacky's Eden which lost considerable ground. Johnny Be Good and Hurricane Red raced wide in the home straight.

Tickle My Fancy was quick to begin.  Callum Ari was slow to begin.  Zipping Kingston and Patricia Maureen collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Tickle My Fancy and Bring Your Banjo collided on the first turn checking Bring Your Banjo and Patricia Maureen and severely checking Tickle My Fancy, Earn The Magic and Zipping Kingston.  Earn The Magic and Zipping Kingston collided approaching the home turn checking Earn The Magic and Patricia Maureen, severely checking Zipping Kingston and causing My Gem to race wide. My Gem raced wide in the home straight.

Madalia Mick and Lockwood Lad were slow to begin.  Judge Hook and Will Do collided soon after the start checking Will Do.  Judge Hook and Incognito collided several times approaching the first turn. Madalia Mick was checked off Zipping Lach on the first turn and collided with Lockwood Lad.  Judge Hook and Incognito collided on the first turn checking Will Do and Incognito.  Madalia Mick and Lockwood Lad collided on the first turn.  Judge Hook was checked off Madalia Mick approaching the home turn.  Will Do was checked off Incognito in the home straight.

Ivey's Affair and Tin Shed Fred collided approaching the first turn checking Ivey's Affair. Busy Bella and Zipping Bates collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Zipping Bates and Layback Cruiser collided on the first turn checking Zipping Bates and Busy Bella.  Layback Cruiser Tin Shed Fred collided approaching the home turn checking Layback Cruiser.

Tin Shed Fred underwent a post race veterinsry examination and was found to have an injured left monkey muscle and left and right quadriceps.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Chicken Schnitty and Rose's Honey were slow to begin.  Rostered Off and Angel Eyes collided on the first turn.  Chicken Schnitty and Rostered Off collided on the first turn.  Fernando Bull and Campanita collided on the first turn.  Rostered Off and Angel Eyes collided entering the home straight.  Fernando Bull galloped on Campanita entering the home straight and collided with Chicken Schnitty checking Chicken Schnitty and Fernando Bull and severely checking Campanita.  Angel Eyes and Fernando Bull raced wide in the home straight.

Lightning Leo, Waipahu and Andy Time were slow to begin.  Waipahu and Andy Time collided soon after the start.  Rag Time Griff, Send Me Dizzy, Lightning Leo, Andy Time, Waipahu and Take A Sunflower collided on the first turn severely checking all greyhounds and causing Lightning Leo and Send Me Dizzy to fall.  

Lightning Leo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising over the left shoulder and minor abrasions over distal limbs.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed

Send Me Dizzy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left shin, thoraco-lumbar soreness and multiple minor abrasions over limbs.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Gellar Bale and Tyson's Tiger collided soon after the start checking Gellar Bale.  Flojo Mikado. Feel The Thunder and Tyson's Town collided soon after the start checking Flojo Mikado and Feel The Thunder.  Majestic Mojo was checked off Tysons Town on the first turn checking Feel The Thunder and Flojo Mikado causing Flojo Mikado to lose ground.  Victory Chase and Gellar Bale collided approaching the home turn checking Gellar Bale and Majestic Mojo.  Tyson's Town and Hurricane Pete collided approaching the home turn checking Hurricane Pete.

Spring Blue -  New declared weight 33.3 kg, last raced at 32.2 kg.

The start of this event was delayed by two minutes to hold for Hobart Harness. 

Count Me In and Take A Rose collided soon after the start checking Take A Rose.  Spring Blue crossed in approaching the first turn checking Count Me In and Chill Out Dusty.  Rose Royce was checked off Twelfth Of Never on the first turn severely checking Rose Royce, Chill Out Dusty, Hayley Hook and Count Me In, causing Hayley Hook to lose considerable ground.

Hayley Hook underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist sprain. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
