Steward's Report

Pursuant to GAR 104(6) Parade Steward Ms. P. Toner did not act in any official capacity that may in any way, affected the outcome of this event.

Bean's Multi was quick to begin.  Zing On, Crumlin and Galloping Albi collided approaching the first turn checking Crumlin.  Ethan's Fury crossed in on the first turn checking Zing On and Galloping Albi. Crumlin and Galloping Albi collided approaching the home turn checking Galloping Albi.  Shucks visibly eased and turned its head out in the home straight and again approaching the winning post checking Bean's Multi.

Shucks underwent a post race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 5, no apparent injury could be detected.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. George the trainer of Shucks regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight and approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Shucks was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due committment.  Mr. George pleaded guilty to the charge, Shucks is suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Trout - winner of the event.
