Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from She Excites.
Call Me Raine did not leave the starting boxes. She Excites was quick to begin. Reiko Bale and Misty Rainbow were slow to begin. Running Gear went up with the lids at box rise and lost ground. Defiance and She Excites collided soon after the start. Aston Skylar and Eyes Nose Lips collided soon after the start. Misty Rainbow and Reiko Bear collided on the first turn checking Reiko Bear. Defiance and Eyes Nose Lips collided approaching the home turn. Defiance and Reiko Bear collided entering the home straight.
The Stewards delayed the All Clear to examine if there was any issue or problem that caused the (8) greyhound Call Me Raine to not leave the starting boxes when the start was effected. After inspection, the Stewards were entirely satisfied that Call Me Raine was not caught or hampered in any manner or form and there was no fault connected with the starting boxes or the circumstances of placing the greyhound therein. In short, Call Me Raine received a fair and equal start. As such, Call Me Raine was deemed a starter and the All Clear was posted on 10 - 6 - 7 - 5.
Call Me Raine underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr Damien Howard regarding its performance after the greyhound stayed in the starting boxes and took no competitive part in the event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Call Me Raine must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
