Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore facemasks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Zipping Gypsy underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Call Me Raine did not leave the starting boxes. She Excites was quick to begin. Reiko Bale and Misty Rainbow were slow to begin. Running Gear went up with the lids at box rise and lost ground. Defiance and She Excites collided soon after the start. Aston Skylar and Eyes Nose Lips collided soon after the start. Misty Rainbow and Reiko Bear collided on the first turn checking Reiko Bear. Defiance and Eyes Nose Lips collided approaching the home turn. Defiance and Reiko Bear collided entering the home straight. 

The Stewards delayed the All Clear to examine if there was any issue or problem that caused the (8) greyhound Call Me Raine to not leave the starting boxes when the start was effected. After inspection, the Stewards were entirely satisfied that Call Me Raine was not caught or hampered in any manner or form and there was no fault connected with the starting boxes or the circumstances of placing the greyhound therein. In short, Call Me Raine received a fair and equal start. As such, Call Me Raine was deemed a starter and the All Clear was posted on 10 - 6 - 7 - 5. 

Call Me Raine underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr Damien Howard regarding its performance after the greyhound stayed in the starting boxes and took no competitive part in the event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Call Me Raine must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Perfect Glory and Real Reward were quick to begin. Carry On Liam, Mepunga Knight and Runaway Lad were slow to begin. Real Reward crossed to the inside and collided with Nino's Girl, Mepunga Freda, Kuro Kismet and Perfect Glory soon after the start checking Real Reward, Mepunga Freda and Kuro Kismet. Perfect Glory checked off Runaway Lad on the first turn. Nino's Girl, Mepunga Knight and Carry On Liam collided on the first turn checking Nino's Girl, Mepunga Knight, Carry On Liam, Kuro Kismet and Mepunga Freda. 

Real Reward underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left back muscle and a spike wound on the left elbow. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Ms Natalie Presutto regarding its performance soon after the start. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Real Reward must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Go Wheels and Rockstar Harley collided approaching the first turn checking Rockstar Harley. Vegas Rules and Canadian Mist collided on the first turn checking Canadian Mist. Rockstar Harley crossed out and raced wide on the home turn. 

Blackest Black was quick to begin. Cornish Pixie was slow to begin. Pansy Parkinson and Cornish Pixie collided soon after the start. Aratuza Bale checked off White Flower on the first turn. Ernie Prang checked off Fabriola Yes on the first turn. Aussie Built and Cornish Pixie collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Ernie Prang galloped on Aratuza Bale approaching the home turn checking Ernie Prang. Aussie Built checked off Pansy Parkinson on the home turn and collided with Cornish Pixie checking Aussie Built and Cornish Pixie. 

Aussie Built underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left quadriceps muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
