Taiepa - The frequency of racing was discussed with representative, Mr H Goss, his comments were noted.
Sachi Girl, Awake Until Dawn and Niccali were quick to begin.
Tyler Durden, Call Me Raine, Slingshot Yin, Ancho Poblano and Taiepa collided soon after the start, checking Ancho Poblano, Slinghsot Yin and Call Me Raine. Ancho Pablano contacted the rail on the first turn, causing Ancho Poblano, Call Me Raine and Slingshot Yin to collide; severely checking all three greyhounds and causing Call Me Raine and Ancho Poblano to fall. Sachi Girl and Ancho Poblano collided approaching the home turn, checking Sachi Girl. Sachi Girl and Awake Until Dawn collided approaching the home turn. Tyler Durden checked off Taiepa on the home turn.
Call Me Raine underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-vetted following race seven. Call Me Raine was found to have a right foreleg flexor tendon injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Slingshot Yin underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right stopper. No stand down period was imposed.
Ancho Poblano underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hindleg, abrasions to the nail bed of right hind toe and brusing to the right shoulder and thigh. A five day stand down period was imposed.
