Superior Dougie – New declared weight of 37.1kgs, last raced at 38.9kgs.
Mt. View Wrap was slow to begin. Superior Dougie was very slow to begin - 3 lengths.
Braemar Ally Fay and Jimmy Cheesecake collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Prinny Arandt turned its head to the inside and crossed to rail soon after the start. Mt. View Wrap and Widburn collided soon after the start. Prinny Arandt turned its head to the outside and visibly eased approaching the 250m mark. Prinny Arandt visibly eased approaching the 100m mark and collided with Windburn several times severely checking Windburn and Mt. View Wrap.
Superior Dougie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 10. Super Dougie was found to have a left and right carpal sprain and an injury to the left back muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Sweltering underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr D. Fasoli, the trainer of Sweltering and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start.

Prinny Arandt underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Representative Mr M. Zammit declined to have the dog re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr M. Zammit, the representative of Prinny Arandt regarding the greyhounds racing manners throughout the event. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Prinny Arandt was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Zammit pleaded guilty to the charge, Prinny Arandt is suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
