Steward's Report
Trinity Blue and Montanaro were slow to begin.
Flossy Jo crossed in at the 300m mark checking Montanaro. Flossy Jo checked off Big Boy Marjen at the 250m mark. Symbol For You and Big Boy Marjen collided approaching the 200m mark checking Big Boy Marjen and Flossy Jo. Symbol For You crossed to the outside at the 150 mark checking Montanaro. Trinity Blue visibly eased and turn its head to the outside approaching the 100m mark. Trinity Blue visibly eased approaching the winning post.
Big Boy Marjen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right hind metatarsal. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr D. Jensen, the trainer of Big Boy Marjen and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the 200m mark.
Mr K. Kelly declined the option to have Trinity Blue vetted following the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr K. Kelly, the trainer of Trinity Blue regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 100m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Trinity Blue was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Kelly pleaded guilty to the charge, Trinity Blue is suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Montanaro underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the rigt hind toe. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
