Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff, at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Clonmore was very slow to begin (5 lengths). Olin Bale, Manila King, Connie's Entity, Aston Anita and Rayner collided approaching the first turn checking Connie's Entity. Olin Bale and Rayner collided approaching the home turn checking Rayner which collided with Aston Anita. Connie's Entity galloped on Clonmore on the home turn. 

Mcivor Ernie, Mad Goosey, It's A Glance, Rock It Fabio and Kid Malawi collided soon after the start checking Mad Goosey, It's A Glance and Rock It Fabio. Mcivor Ernie and Kid Malawi collided approaching the first turn. Repossession and Marleese Bale collided on the first turn. It's A Glance and Rock It Fabio collided approaching the home turn checking It's A Glance. Kid Malawi and It's A Glance collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight checking Kid Malawi. Mcivor Ernie raced wide in the home straight.

Quattro Miss was quick to begin. Ruby Arizona, Crackerjack Jaws and Harlequin Rose collided on the first turn checking Crackerjack Jaws and Ruby Arizona. Crackerjack Jaws lost ground on the second turn. 

Crackerjack Jaws underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Cullquin Freya went up with the lids at box rise. Slingshot Angel and Believer collided approaching the first turn. Believer, Pirate Lee and Chips An' Cheese collided approaching the first turn. Believer, Aston Ultra, Pirate Lee, Chips An' Cheese and Cullquin Freya collided on the first turn severely checking Pirate Lee. Chips An' Cheese and Cullquin Freya collided approaching the home turn. Believer and Chips An' Cheese collided approaching the home turn checking Believer. Pirate Lee raced wide in the home straight. Chips An' Cheese and Keijon Doug collided approaching the winning post. 

Stewards noted the muzzle of Pirate Lee became dislodged during the running of the event. 

Scott To Give  was quick to begin. Gardener's Boyo was slow to begin. No Degree, Crown Simba and New Cross Gate collided on the first turn checking New Cross Gate. It's Magic and New Cross Gate collided approaching the home turn checking It's Magic. Scott To Give and Crown Simba collided on the home turn. 

Mr I.Robinson was issued with a warning after the greyhound Pyrenees Steele was negligently (GAR 86(o)) placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process.  

Club Official, Mrs J.Hooke was reminded of their responsibilities after the greyhound Pyreness Steele was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration and remediation. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Major Bourbski.

Pyrenees Steele, Pure Cool Titan and Railway Burra were slow to begin. Eddie, Nella Bale and Garage Sale collided on the first turn checking Eddie. Scott Magic, Garage Sale and Nella Bale collided entering the back straight. Scott Magic and Garage Sale collided approaching the second turn. Pyrenees Steele, Eddie, Pure Cool Titan and Major Bourbski collided on the second turn. Eddie, Pure Cool Titan and Major Bourbski collided approaching the home turn. Pure Cool Titan clipped the heelps of Pyrenees Steele on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Garage Sale and Major Bourbski collided approaching the winning post. 

Pure Cool Titan underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Mr D.Weightman was issued with a warning after the greyhound Name Me Nelly was negligently (GAR 86(o)) placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process.

Zipping Stan underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to race.

Short Leash was quick to begin. Chasin' Bobbi, Blue Larrikin and Tearaway Train collided soon after the start. Chasin' Bobbi and Tearaway Train collided approaching the first turn. Inter Mimi, Short Leash and Inter Phillip collided on the first turn checking Short Leash and Inter Phillip. Short Leash and Inter Phillip collided approaching the home turn. Wild Brutality and Madame Duggie raced wide entering the home straight and in the home straight.

Taltarni Black, Fairytale Wish and All Over Max collided on the first turn. Plain Name, Hook Along Mint and Maximum Refusal collided on the first turn. Taltarni Black galloped on Fairytale Wish on the first turn checking Taltarni Black. Taltarni Black, Plain Name, Hook Along Mint and Maximum Refusal collided on the first turn checking Taltarni Black, Plain Name and Maximum Refusal and severely checking Hook Along Mint.

Stewards spoke to Mr Jason Stemmer the trainer of Showboat Capers. After hearing Mr Stemmers submissions, Stewards own observations and all available footage, Stewards issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.

Xeron Bale and Bayside Bourbski collided soon after the start. Bayside Bourbski and Potent collided on the first turn. Hook Along Book and Potent collided on the home turn severely checking Potent. Aston Ensley and Regal Missile collided entering the home straight. 

A post-race sample was taken from Unusual Suspect - the winner of the event. 

A pre-race sample was taken from On Key.

Flame Slinger was quick to begin. Bundoran, Uncle Rico and Barellen Knight collided approaching the first turn severely checking Bundoran. Hagrid Grange and On Key collided on the first turn severely checking On Key. Flame Slinger visibly eased, turned it's head and collided with Mr. Delahoya on the home turn. Mr. Delahoya and Flame Slinger raced wide in the home straight. 

Flame Slinger underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined after twenty minutes, no apparent injury could be detected. 

Stewards spoke to Mr G.Hansen, the handler of Flame Slinger regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Flame Slinger was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Hansen pleaded guilty to the charge, Flame Slinger is suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
