Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from On Key.
Flame Slinger was quick to begin. Bundoran, Uncle Rico and Barellen Knight collided approaching the first turn severely checking Bundoran. Hagrid Grange and On Key collided on the first turn severely checking On Key. Flame Slinger visibly eased, turned it's head and collided with Mr. Delahoya on the home turn. Mr. Delahoya and Flame Slinger raced wide in the home straight.
Flame Slinger underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined after twenty minutes, no apparent injury could be detected.
Stewards spoke to Mr G.Hansen, the handler of Flame Slinger regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Flame Slinger was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Hansen pleaded guilty to the charge, Flame Slinger is suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
