Mindil Beach and Forest Lodge collided soon after the start.  Black Opaque, My Attitude and Forest Lodge collided approaching the first turn.  Black Opaque checked off Rik Lee on the first turn.  Black Opaque clipped the heels of My Attitude on the home turn.  Mindil Beach raced wide in the home straight.

Representative Mr T. Churchill requested that Go Lucy Go to undergo a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a lacertion to the right saphenous (hind leg area). A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Jaxon's Express – Late scratching at 4.30pm on the 8 May 2019 when Mrs M. Brown reported the greyhound to have an injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Split Pea and Bruce's Back were quick to begin.

Alfie Mikado, Split Pea and Bruce's Back collided on the first turn checking Alfie Mikado and Split Pea.  Split Pea eased in the home straight and failed to pursue the lure with due commitment.  

Split Pea underwent a post-race veterinary examination a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected. Mrs Haigh declined a re-vet.

Stewards spoke to Mrs C. Haigh, the trainer of Split Pea regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Split Pea was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs Haigh pleaded guilty to the charge, Split Pea is suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Woodleigh Guy, Tarquin Bob and News Print were slow to begin.

Philo Bale and Mr. Pendles collided soon after the start.  Boycey Road checked off Buddy Blink on the first turn.  Jupiter Jones and Mr. Pendles collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  News Print cramped in the home straight and subsequently fell.

News Print underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have cramped.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting in accordance with GAR 71(Cramp) News Print must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race Urine and Blood samples were taken from Buddy Blink - winner of the event.

Cumberland Jet and Spectator were slow to begin.

Cumberland Jet, Spectator and Hurricane Billie collided soon after the start.  Raging Roy and Pacific Coast collided soon after the start checking Raging Roy.  Galloping Bluboy and Raging Roy collided on the first turn checking Galloping Bluboy.  Woodleigh Sal checked off House Of Luck in the home straight. 

Galloping Bluboy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Just Blacky was slow to begin.
