A pre-race sample was taken from Keisha's Boy.
Greysynd Mercury was slow to begin.
Inter Helen and Little Bala collided soon after the start. Aston Xanadu and Inter Helen collided on the first turn severely checking Aston Xanadu and Greysynd Mercury. Aston Xanadu checked off Greysynd Mercury on the home turn.
