She Got Fire was slow to begin.
Delta's Tiara, Figure Eight and Raylene Bale collided approaching the first turn, checking all three greyhounds. Meraki, Ashby Quick and Braemar Sassy collided on the first turn, checking Ashby Quick. Figure Eight lost ground on the first turn. Braemar Sassy and She Got Fire collided approaching the home turn, checking Braemar Sassy which lost ground; Raylene Bale to galloped on Braemar Sassy as a result, severely checking Braemar Sassy. Ashby Quick contacted the running rail approaching the home turn and lost ground. Ashby Quick and Braemnar Sassy collided on the home turn.
Ashby Quick underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
