An out of competition sample was taken from Mega Dossa on 7 January 2020 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Mega Dossa was quick to begin. Shadow Mist was slow to begin.
Facing The Music and Rock Me Gorgeous collided approaching the first turn. Double Tactic, Facing The Music, Rock Me Gorgeous and Insuperable collided on the first turn checking Facing The Music and Rock Me Gorgeous. Double Tactic checked off Spring Hummer on the first turn checking Insuperable. Spring Hummer brushed the running rail on the third turn and lost ground. Insuperable and Double Tactic collided on the third turn. Spring Hummer and Rock Me Gorgeous collided on the home turn. Spring Hummer tired over the concluding stages.
Spring Hummer underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Philadelphia Pip - winner of the event.
