Steward's Report
Renewed, Rockstar Beav and Mepunga Frankie were slow to begin.
Renewed checked off Tough Tears approaching the first turn. Rockstar Beav and Cosmic Sparkle collided on the second turn. Renewed and Cabin Fever collided entering the back straight checking Here's Tears and Rockstar Beav. Here's Tears clipped the heels of Cabin Fever approaching the fifth turn. Mepunga Frankie and Cabin Fever collided in the home straight. Tough Tears tired over the concluding stages.
Tough Tears underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to representative Mr P. Riley regarding the below market expectation performance in this event. Mr Riley stated that in his opinion the greyhound is not suited to the 715m distance. Stewards will follow-up with the kennel in the coming days regarding the greyhound's recovery and immediate racing future.
