Steward's Report
Speed Star and Crimson Vixen were quick to begin. Weeona Bulldozer was slow to begin. Mepunga Wonder was checked off Curnow Keats soon after the start. Weeona Bulldozer galloped on Mepunga Wonder approachng the home turn. Mepunga Wonder and Curnow Keats collided approaching the winning post.
Mepunga Wonder underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left front toe and right metacarpals. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Britton the trainer of Mepunga Wonder and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.
A post race sample was taken from Hooked On Scotch - winner of the event and Crimson Vixen - second placegetter in the event.
