On 25 November 2019, an out of competition sample was taken from Tornado Tears, Rajasthan, Just Terms, Slick Raven, Blazing Cartier, Boom Down, Angry Trip & Blue Shadows, pursuant to GAR 79A.
On 26 November 2019, an out of competition sample was taken from Blue Moon Rising & Midnight Mystery pursuant to GAR 79A.
Rajasthan and Just Terms were quick to begin. Boom Down was slow to begin.
Tornado Tears checked off Just Terms on the first turn and collided with Blazing Cartier. Blazing Cartier and Midnight Mystery collided on the first turn. Slick Raven and Blue Moon Rising collided on the first turn. Slick Raven checked off Blue Moon Rising approaching the second turn checking Just terms which raced wide. Midnight Mystery raced wide entering the front straight. Tornado Tears and Rajasthan collided on the home turn.
A post-race urine and blood sample was taken from Tornado Tears - winner of the event.
