A pre-race sample was taken from Honey Bourbon.
Aston Dynamo and Fine Tactics were slow to begin.
Pete's Dream stumbled at box rise and lost ground. Buffet Destroyer crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Honey Bourbon, Pleach and Fine Tactics. Pleach and Fine Tactics collided soon after the start. Pleach and Better Watch Out collided approaching the first turn. Pure Elation and Honey Bourbon collided on the first turn. Pleach and Better Watch Out collided on the first turn and approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds. Honey Bourbon checked off Pure Elation entering the back straight. Honey Bourbon raced wide entering the back straight and collided with Better Watch Out checking both greyhounds. Pete's Dream, Honey Bourbon and Better Watch Out collided on the third turn checking Honey Bourbon and Better Watch Out. Fine Tactics and Pure Elation collided on the home turn.
Honey Bourbon underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
