Greysynd Blue was quick to begin.
Nuclear Fusion, Posterior Chain and Cinnamon Rose collided soon after the start checking Posterior Chain. Ima Rebel and Iceni Crusader collided approaching the first turn. Nuclear Fusion and Posterior Chain collided approaching the first turn. Iceni Crusader and Cinnamon Rose collided approaching the first turn. Iceni Crusader and Cinnamon Rose collided on the first turn checking Cinnamon Rose. Nuclear Fusion and Iceni Crusader collided approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight. Nuclear Fusion turned its head and visibly eased entering the home straight and marred Iceni Crusader approaching the winning post.
Ima Rebel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right tibia. A 5 day stand dpown period was imposed.
Nuclear Fusion underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left triangle and right back muscle. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Webb, the trainer of Nuclear Fusion regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Nuclear Fusion was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Webb pleaded guilty to the charge, Nuclear Fusion is suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
