Steward's Report
The track curator advised that the track was lightly harrowed on 30 October 2019.
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Hot Weather Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 33.4 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.3 degrees.
Volcanic Lava – New declared weight of 37.7kg, last raced at 36.0kg.
Dusty Hawke and Barellen Knight were slow to begin.
Dancing Rose and Riverside Dash collided approaching the first turn. Volcanic Lava faltered on the first turn. Barellen Knight raced wide on the first turn. Dusty Hawke and Dancing Rose collided entering the home straight. Barellen Knight and Dancing Rose collided in the home straight.
Volcanic Lava underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
