Steward's Report
Bomber's Return was quick to begin. Seve Rose and Fuel 'Em collided soon after the start checking Seve Rose. Shanlyn Magic and Bomber's Retun collided on the first turn. Shanlyn Magic eased approaching the home turn and subsequently pulled up.
Shanlyn Magic underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right deltoid muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Ms. N. Lund regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1) Shanlyn Magic was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Lund pleaded not guilty to the charge, Shanlyn Magic was found guilty and must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post race sample was taken from Fuel 'Em - winner of the event.
