Steward's Report
Following the running of Race 3, the seals on kennel bays 5-12 were broken to enable Stewards and the Club Veterinary Surgeon to inspect all runners due to illness concerns. A visual inspection of all greyhounds kenneled revealed no abnormalities. All kennel bays were re-sealed in the presence of Stewards, club staff and the Club Veterinary Surgeon.
Newtown Angel – Late scratching at 20:47 pm when representative Mr A Kenyon requested to withdraw the greyhound from this event. As the reasoning for the application to scratch did not fall specifically under the provisions of GAR 23, a 10-day stand down period was imposed which will be subject to review by the Chief Steward, upon application.
My Lil' Angel was slow to begin.
Scatterbox, Slingshot Spirit and Cash No Bounce collided approaching the home turn, checking Slingshot Spirit and Cash No Bounce. Slingshot Spirit and My Lil' Angel collided on the home turn.
Supplementary Report: An application was recieved from connections to review the 10-day stand-down on Newtown Angel. The penalty was reduced by Stewards to 3 days and will expire at midnight on 6 March 2020.
