Joelene Lass and More Beer Please were quick to begin. Texas Moon and Beers And Bikes were slow to begin.
Paw Nev underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hind foot. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to representative Mr M Roberts regarding Paw Nev’s racing manners approaching the home turn and in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Paw Nev was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr M Roberts pleaded guilty to the charge. Paw Nev must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
