Steward's Report
Acting in accordance with the GRV Lightning and Thunderstorm Safety Procedure, races were suspended at 8.00pm and put back 1 race, the last race re-schedule to 10.50pm, due to storm activity (continuous lightning strikes within the designated safety zone around Warragul). Stewards made contact with the Weather Bureau for the second time at 8.19pm and were advised that lightning activity had cleared the area. Stewards were satisfied the weather conditions were satisfactory to resume racing.
Curlin' Merlin was slow to begin. Croucher and Muza's Angel collided soon after the start checking Croucher and Golden Night. Sideshow Marjen was checked off Cee Me Snoop on the first turn.
