Steward's Report
Ms. J. Imlach failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Tamou Bale for racing. Stewards issued Ms. Imlach with a warning pursuant to GAR 46 (1).
No Tickles was slow to begin. Lexi Cristalle crossed in soon after the start checking Tamou Bale. My Lucky Mia and Dream Wizard collided approaching the first turn checking Dream Wizard. Tara's Magic and Lexi Cristalle collided on the first turn checking Lexi Cristalle and No Tickles, both greyhounds lost ground as a result. Dream Wizard and Outlaw Donny collided approaching the home turn. Dream Wizard raced wide/ungenerously on the home turn and collided with Outlaw Donny causing Outlaw Donny to race wide.
Dream Wizard underwent a post race veterinary examination and was re-examined after 30 minutes on the request of the trainer, no apparent injury could be detected.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Lithgow the trainer of Dream Wizard regarding its performance on the home turn. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71 Dream Wizard must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post race sample was taken from Tamou Bale - unplaced in the event.
Supplementary Report:
In accordance with GAR 75, Mr. Sean Lithgow informed Stewards on 21/2/20, that after having Dream Wizard checked by his vet, Dr. Chris Boemo, the greyhound showed the presence of shin soreness, and has recommended 2-3 weeks break from racing, with treatment.
