Steward's Report
A sample was taken from Busy Bella at the Trainer’s kennel earlier today.
Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr T Dailly regarding the scratching of Headspace. Mr Dailly stated the greyhound appeared to be sore and unable to stretch out properly yesterday morning, and was subsequently scratched. Stewards confirmed the scratching took place at 11:46am yesterday morning and were satisfied with Mr Dailly's explanation. No further action was taken.
Koenigsegg Agera was quick to begin. Busy Bella, Water Colour and Rocky Ravioli were slow to begin.
Lucy's Milo checked off Koenigsegg Agera approaching the first turn.
Rocky Ravioli underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising to the left hind over the quadriceps. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Luke Harris, the handler of Rocky Ravioli regarding its performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Rocky Ravioli must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
