Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Minnesota Lee.
Dyna Zaylee, Kissable and Minnesota Lee collided on the first turn checking Kissable and Minnesota Lee. Meehan Bazz and Medina collided approaching the second turn. Galaxy Blaster raced wide on the second turn. Kissable and Medina collided approaching the home turn. Kissable checked off Dyna Zaylee on the home turn.
Galaxy Blaster underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hind paw. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr T Dailly, regarding the improved performance of Rockstar Fletch in this event. Mr Dailly stated the greyhound has trialled very quickly at their home trial track, and as he is bred to run over a further distance, was advantaged by gaining clear galloping room early in the race and leading. Stewards accepted Mr Daillys explanation and directed a post race urine sample to be taken from the greyhound.
