A pre-race sample was taken from Janiya Bale.
Erolo Bale was slow to begin. Potere and Mahjong Nickel collided soon after the start checking Potere. Sam I'm Mikado was checked off Rooey on the first turn. Bombardier King and Galloping Nikki collided on the first turn. Mahjong Nickel galloped on Galloping Nikki approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Mahjong Nickel and Galloping Nikki collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight. Rooey and Janiya Bale collided in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Schwarz and reminded him to be more organised when engaging a handler for his greyhounds in future (GAR 86(o)).
