Whynot Luv, Greatest Showman and Hooked On Scotch were slow to begin.  Galloping Coxy and Dr. Davinci collided soon after the start checking Hooked On Scotch and Greatest Showman.  Miss Potential and Dr. Seraphina collided on the first turn checking Miss Potential which lost ground and collided with Dr. Davinci.  Galloping Coxy was checked off Dr. Seraphina on the first turn, Galloping Coxy lost ground as a result.  Miss Potential was checked off Dr. Davinci approaching the home turn.  Dr. Davinci and Hooked On Scotch collided approaching the home turn checking Dr. Davinci.   Dr. Seraphina and Whynot Luv collided on the home turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Rampaging.

Whynot Dot was quick to begin.  Flying Doves, He's Boarin', Still Rockin' and Dr. Rayna were slow to begin.  Flying Doves lost ground on the first turn and subsequently tailed off.

Flying Doves underwent a post race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 5 and no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Mr. V. Daffy the trainer of Flying Doves regarding its performance in this event.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Flying Doves must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Aston Tequila.

Perrie The Fairy was quick to begin.  Aston Tequila crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Loaded, Zipping Benny and Yuko and severely checking Inter Mimi.  Perrie The Fairy raced wide entering the home straight.

Class Edge and Seve Rose were slow to begin.  Yuken Win was checked off Ask Yourself approaching the first turn.  Spin The Trolley, Yuken Win and Rik Lee collided on the first turn.  Yuken Win raced wide approaching the second turn checking Sunita Lass, Seve Rose and Rik Lee, Sunita Lass lost ground as a result.  Lightwood Lass raced wide in the back straight.  Lightwood Lass and Ask Yourself collided several times in the home straight.

Straitline Willy was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  High Tale and Totolo collided soon after the start.  Episode was checked off Lady Mikado approaching the first turn.  High Tale, Totolo and Bricabrac collided on the first turn checking Totolo and High Tale.  Coco Marlow and Lady Mikado collided on the first turn.  High Tale and Straitline Willy collided on the home turn.  Bricabrac was checked off Lady Mikado approaching the winning post.  Coco Marlow and Episode collided approaching the winning post.

Twenty Tamar, Sooky Jooky, Serious Bolt, Shanlyn Georgie and Lemonade Kid collided soon after the start checking Sooky Jooky and Shanlyn Georgie.  Paisley and Galloping Rokyto collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Shanlyn Georgie was checked off Serious Bolt approaching the first turn.  Twenty Tamar, Paisley and Crickets Dash collided on the first turn severely checking Paisley which stumbled checking Galloping Rokyto and causing Shanlyn Georgie and Sooky Jooky to race wide.  Sooky Jooky and Serious Bolt raced wide in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Weeona Bulldozer.

Wharfies Girl and Weeona Bulldozer were quick to begin.  Spring Bridge was slow to begin.  Spring Bridge was checked off Disco Hips soon after the start.  Disco Hips and Spring Bridge collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Disco Hips.  Beau Gem and Spring Bridge collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn   Trophy Trophy and Beau Gem collided approaching the winning post.

Beau Gem underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a torn nail on the left front foot.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Connor the trainer of Beau Gem and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.

Off To Monaco, Over Talking and Sawan Sawan were quick to begin.  She Got Fire and Tonnes Of Zip collided approaching the first turn severely checking She Got Fire which lost ground.  Tonnes Of Zip and Talk Talk Talk collided on the first turn.  Off To Monaco, Over Talking and Break The Plate collided on the first turn checking Over Talking.  Off To Monaco was checked off No Talking approaching the home turn.  She Got Fire and Over Talking raced wide in the home straight.

She Got Fire underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

A pre-race sample was taken from Double Supreme.

Double Supreme, Sudden Force and Skip A Yonnie were quick to begin.  Bright Heart and Tolerant were slow to begin.  Untainted clipped the heels of Prima Mikado on the first turn.  Prima Mikado and Skip A Yonnie collided on the first turn.  Bright Heart faltered on the first turn and lost ground.  Untainted was checked off Prima Mikado approaching the home turn.  Prima Mikado and Skip A Yonnie collided approaching the home turn.  Prima Mikado raced wide on the home turn checking Skip A Yonnie.  Untainted clipped the heels of Tolerant on the home turn.  Bright Heart raced wide in the home straight.

Bright Heart underwent a post race veterinary examination and was re-examined after race 11.  Bright Heart was found to have an injured left back muscle.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Janiya Bale.

Erolo Bale was slow to begin.  Potere and Mahjong Nickel collided soon after the start checking Potere.  Sam I'm Mikado was checked off Rooey on the first turn.  Bombardier King and Galloping Nikki collided on the first turn.  Mahjong Nickel galloped on Galloping Nikki approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Mahjong Nickel and Galloping Nikki collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.  Rooey and Janiya Bale collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Schwarz and reminded him to be more organised when engaging a handler for his greyhounds in future (GAR 86(o)).

Elfstar - late scratching at 3.35pm when Mr. P. Schofield reported the greyhound to have an injured right shoulder (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
