Chill Out Indy was slow to begin. Spot On Mick went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (3L). Zipping Sheila and Our Harley Quinn collided approaching the first turn. Our Harley Quin faltered on the first turn and tailed off. Chill Out Indy lost groun in the home straight.

Chill Out Indy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising over the right shoulder. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms J.Chilcott, the trainer of Chill Out Indy and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.

Cullquin Bronn was very slow to begin (4L). Mortadella and Calzone collided on the first turn. Calzone and Sylo collided approaching the second turn checking Sylo. Mortadella and Arancini collided on the second turn checking Arancini. Mortadella crossed to the outside approaching the winning post and collided with Calzone.

Sylo underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Gledhill, the trainer of Prince Mark regarding its improved performance in this event. Mr. Gledhill stated that the greyhound has been racing in provincial races and that the greyhound had been trialling well. Mr Gledhill further added that he had a wager on the greyhound as he was confident that it would win. Stewards directed a sample be taken from the greyhound. Stewards noted Mr Gledhills explanation and directed a sample be taken from the greyhound, Prince Mark - winner of the event.

Dyna Kerro, Vintage Storm and Hagrid Grange collided on the first turn checking Vintage Storm. Hagrid Grange and Dewana Jayden collided approaching the second turn checking Hagrid Grange. Crackerjack Roy and Dewana Jayden collided approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight checking Dewana Jayden. Crackerjack Roy and Dewana Jayden collided in the home straight.

Ninetymile Donny was slow to begin. Grudge and Flying Jamaica collided soon after the start checking Flying Jamaica. Ninetymile Donny, Grudge and Flying Jamaica collided soon after the start checking Grudge and Flying Jamaica. Jimbo's Box brushed the running rail approaching the home turn and lost ground. Grudge and Flying Jamaica collided on the home turn.

Shetchy Skinny and Awesome Freckles collided on the first turn. Honestly Bob clipped the heels of Sukhoi Su approaching the second turn. Awesome Freckles and Revved Up dee collided on the second turn checking Awesome Freckles. Sketchy Skinny and Awesome Freckles raced wide in the home straight.

Off The Bit was quick to begin. Sizzlin' Sanchez and Moonquake collided approaching the first turn checking Sizzlin' Sanchez. Claretown Boris and My Fernando Tim collided approaching the home turn severely checking My Fernando Tim.

East End Eddy was very slow to begin (4L) and took no competitive part in the event. Still Single and Buddie's Al collided on the first turn. Buddie's Al raced wide approaching the second turn. Hello Goodnight and Hammer Red collided on the second turn checking Hello Goodnight which collided with Still Single. Still Single and Banjo Fozz collided approaching the home turn checking Banjo Fozz. Fortnight Addict and Buddie's Al raced wide in the home straight.

East End Eddy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left fore paw. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to the handler of East End Eddy, Mr Daniel Boots. Mr Boots stated that the greyhound was new to the kennel and that the greyhound has been trialling well over the 450m at Shepparton. Stewards took into consideration Mr Boots comments and the injury sustained by the greyhound and took no further action. 

Crackerjack Gas, Billy Swagger, Manila Mist and Tat Nuggie were slow to begin. Billy Swagger and Manila Mist collided soon after the start checking Billy Swagger which tailed off. Bluey Can Fly and Manila Mist collided approaching the home turn. Bluey Can Fly galloped on the heels of Manila Mist on the home turn. Crackerjack Gas and Bluey Can Fly collided entering the home straight. Bluey Can Fly, Tat Nuggie and No Recourse raced wide on the home turn.

Billy Swagger underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was then re-examined following race 12, and was found to have mild dehydration. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Mason, the trainer of Billy Swagger regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Billy Swagger was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Mason reserved his plea to the charge, Billy Swagger was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted. Acting under GAR 75 (1) Stewards directed Mr. Mason to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Billy Swagger in the event which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.

Custom Made - Late scratching at 2:45 due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. D. Pell was fined $100.
