Steward's Report
East End Eddy was very slow to begin (4L) and took no competitive part in the event. Still Single and Buddie's Al collided on the first turn. Buddie's Al raced wide approaching the second turn. Hello Goodnight and Hammer Red collided on the second turn checking Hello Goodnight which collided with Still Single. Still Single and Banjo Fozz collided approaching the home turn checking Banjo Fozz. Fortnight Addict and Buddie's Al raced wide in the home straight.
East End Eddy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left fore paw. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to the handler of East End Eddy, Mr Daniel Boots. Mr Boots stated that the greyhound was new to the kennel and that the greyhound has been trialling well over the 450m at Shepparton. Stewards took into consideration Mr Boots comments and the injury sustained by the greyhound and took no further action.
