Steward's Report
Meehan Phil - Late scratching at 12.22pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian due to an abrasion to the right hock. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr G. McMillan regarding the scratching of Our Bravo Rose which enabled his reserve greyhound Blue Alcatraz to be eligible to be drawn into this event. Mr McMillian stated that he scratched Our Bravo Rose on the 15/4/2019 due to injury as the greyhound would not be fit to race today. Stewards noted the explanation.
Blue Alcatraz was slow to begin.
Inter Elesha, Middle Trucker and Rooey collided on the first turn. Blue Alcatraz and Rooey collided in the home straight.
A post-race sample was taken from Supa Shalala - winner of the event.

The following Greyhounds performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial – The trail took place over 460mtrs with 2 required to trial. The winning time of trial was 25.70:
Sure To Excite finished 1st, Sir Jay Jay finished 3rd.
Sure To Excite – Was stood down from racing at Sandown for failing to chase. Weighing 34.7kgs and beginning from box 1 winning by 4 1/4 lengths. Sure To Excite has been cleared to race at all tracks.
Sir Jay Jay – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to a dislocated front right toe. Weighing 36.6kgs and beginning from box 8 beaten by 6 lengths. Sir Jay Jay has been cleared to race at all tracks.
