A pre-race sample was taken from Dr. Sherlock.
Baggy's Request was quick to begin. Mars Rising, Gin Lee's Dream and Karaka were slow to begin. Dr. Sherlock clipped the heels of Baggy's Request approaching the first turn checking Mahi Indian and severely checking Dr. Sherlock and Gin Lee's Dream causing Dr. Sherlock to fall, Gin Lee's Dream faltered and subsequently tailed off. Baggy's Request and Galloping Leo collided on the first turn checking Baggy's Request. Baggy's Request was checked off Karaka entering the home straight. Karraka and Baggy's Request raced wide in the home straight.
Dr. Sherlock was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right flexor tendon, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Gin Lee's Dream was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right shoulder joint, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
