Evasive Escape was quick to begin. Roulette Blues was slow to begin.
Shargre and Roulette Blues collided approaching the first turn checking Roulette Blues. Evasive Escape crossed to the rail on the first turn severely checking Four Keeps which contacted the running rail; Shargre was checked as a result. She Got Fire failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight
Four Keeps was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr M. Carr, the representative of the greyhound She Got Fire regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. She Got Fire was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left metacarpals. No stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged She Got Fire with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Carr pleaded guilty to the charge, She Got Fire was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
