Stewards spoke to Mr A. Ferguson, the trainer of the greyhound Catcha Nugget regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Catcha Nugget with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Ferguson pleaded not guilty to the charge, Catcha Nugget was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr S. Kipirtidis, the trainer of the greyhound Saw Blaze regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  Saw Blaze was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right wrist and left calf, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Saw Blaze with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Kipirtidis pleaded guilty to the charge, Saw Blaze was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr V. Daffy, the Trainer of On Degoey after the greyhound became loose and left the kennel area prior to the running of this event, GAR 27. On Degoey was subsequently vetted and was a late scratching at 3:53pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to dehydration. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards advised Mr Daffy to ensure he has a well maintained collar/lead in future.

Flaming Fabio and Hopeful were slow to begin.

Solar Viper stayed in the boxes and took no competitive part in this event.

Flaming Fabio was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Solar Viper was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards established that Solar Viper stayed in the boxes.  Acting under GAR 52(1) Solar Viper was placed on a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks).

Santana, Humble Inquiry and Easy Tash were slow to begin.

Come On Levendi and Dreamliner collided soon after the start checking Dreamliner.  Come On Levendi, Santana and Dark Stealth collided approaching the first turn checking Santana and Dark Stealth.   Santana checked off Come On Levendi approaching the first turn.  Dark Stealth and Santana collided on the first turn.  Dark Stealth eased on the second turn and failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight.  Dreamliner eased approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight.  Come On Levendi failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight.  

Dark Stealth was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained mild dehydration, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr I. Anderson the trainer of the greyhound Dark Stealth regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the second turn/in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Dark Stealth with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Anderson pleaded not guilty to the charge, Dark Stealth was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Come On Levendi was vetted and revetted following event 9. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Dreamliner was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hind paw. No stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Dreamliner with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Pollutro pleaded guilty to the charge, Dreamliner was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Easy Tash - the winner of the event.

Stealthy Flight was a late scratching at 2:58pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to dehydration. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr B. Dewan, the representative of Dewana Help Me regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Dewana Help Me last raced on 12th September 2018. Mr Dewan stated that the greyhound was returning from a spell.

Dewana Help Me, Sweet Gabriella and Abstract Miss were slow to begin.

Dewana Help Me galloped on Lambros on the first turn checking Lambros; severely checking Dewana Help Me and Ding Dong.  Sweet Gabriella clipped the heels of Abstract Miss approaching the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr R. Farmer and reminded him of his responsibilities after he negligently failed to catch the greyhound Lambros in this event, GAR 86(o).

Stewards spoke to Ms S Northway, the trainer of Cheeky Shadow regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Cheeky Shadow last raced on 19th August 2019. Ms Northway stated that the greyhound had changed kennels.

Run The Route and Oriental Tarj collided approaching the first turn.  Cheeky Shadow and General Missy collided on the first turn.  Ragged Warrior, Run The Route and Oriental Tarj collided approaching the home turn severely checking Oriental Tarj.  Oriental Tarj and General Missy collided approaching the home turn.  

Oriental Tarj was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist injury, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Super Spolly, Sharp Missile and Roland View were slow to begin.

Quick Finance and Bloke's Advice collided approaching the first turn.  Roland View and Galloping Leo collided on the first turn.  Sharp Missile and Galloping Leo collided approaching the home turn severely checking Galloping Leo.  Super Spolly and Violets Are Red collided approaching the home turn.

Galloping Leo was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Buckle Up Leo was a late scratching at 2:47pm on Veterinary advice (GAR 37)(fleas). No stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance, before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Annaley Rooka, Meehan Phil and Lektra Miss were slow to begin.

Meehan Phil, Go Zippy Go and Voluptuous Blue collided on the first turn checking Meehan Phil, Aladdin Prince and Lektra Miss; severely checking Go Zippy Go.  Aladdin Prince and Lektra Miss collided approaching the home turn.  Meehan Phil and Voluptuous Blue collided approaching the home turn and agin on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Zipping Brandy marred Voluptuous Blue several times from the home turn to approaching the winning post checking Meehan Phil; severely checking Voluptuous Blue.  

Zipping Brandy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained shin soreness to right foreleg and an injury to the right elbow, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms S. Northway, the trainer of the greyhound Zipping Brandy regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn to approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Zipping Brandy with marring. Ms Northway pleaded guilty to the charge, Zipping Brandy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr R. Colpoys, the representative of the greyhound Folding Green and kennel attendant Mr. W. Harmor regarding the greyhound being kennelled in the incorrect kennel. Stewards issued Mr. Colpoys with a warning and referred Mr. Harmor onto appropriate management.

Marko Bale, Lock Pepper and Looking Down collided soon after the start.  Shot Thru, Whiney Whine, Folding Green and Shakin' Brave collided soon after the start checking Whiney Whine.  Temujin and Marko Bale collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Locked Pepper checked off Temujin approaching the first turn.  Shakin' Brave and Folding Green collided approaching the first turn checking Folding Green.  Looking Down, Whiney Whine, Temujin and Marko Bale collided on the first turn checking Whiney Whine and Temujin.  Shot Thru, Folding Green and Lock Pepper collided approaching the second turn checking Folding Green and Lock Pepper.  Marko Bale and Folding Green collided on second turn checking Lock Pepper and Folding Green.  Lock Pepper checked off Temujin approaching the home turn.  

Chase 'Em Spolly was quick to begin.  Yenderra Bazza was slow to begin.

Figure Eight crossed to the rail soon after the start checking No Problem John.  Yenderra Bazza and Figure Eight collided on the first turn checking Figure Eight.  

Evasive Escape was quick to begin.  Roulette Blues was slow to begin.

Shargre and Roulette Blues collided approaching the first turn checking Roulette Blues.  Evasive Escape crossed to the rail on the first turn severely checking Four Keeps which contacted the running rail; Shargre was checked as a result.  She Got Fire failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight

Carr, the representative of the greyhound She Got Fire regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  She Got Fire was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left metacarpals. No stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged She Got Fire with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Carr pleaded guilty to the charge, She Got Fire was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Party Muscles and Roger That severely checked approaching the first turn.  Busy Bella and Crystal Shell collided approaching the first turn severely checking both greyhounds.  Party Muscles and Regal Duke collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Crystal Shell contacted the running rail on the home turn.  

Busy Bella was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained bruising to left shoulder, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Crystal Shell was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained bruising to the left shoulder and lacerations to the left fore and hind paws, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Blue Marie was a late scratching at 3:00pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms K. Houlahan was fined the sum of $100.

My Girl Chezza, Rocco's Delight and Gypsy Kiowa were slow to begin.  Spolly's Girl and Dan's Hopeful collided soon after the start.  My Girl Chezza and Smoke And Embers collided approaching the first turn checking My Girl Chezza.  Smoke And Embers galloped on Dan's Hopeful approaching the home turn checking Blonde Bella.  Smoke And Embers and Dan's Hopeful collided entering the home straight checking Smoke And Embers and Blonde Bella.  

Rocco's Delight was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the the right hind triangle, right fore and hind toes, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Lucky Gypsy trialled over the 311m from box 1, weight 28.4kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4 starters. The time of the trial was 17.82, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7 lengths. Lucky Gypsy was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results (Blinkers on) - Brakae trialled over the 311m from box 8, weight 34.9kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4 starters. The time of the trial was 17.82, the greyhound was beaten a margin of 5 lengths. Brakae was Cleared To Race In Blinkers. 

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr S. James, the trainer of Ernie's Legacy regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Ernie's Legacy last raced on 18th July 2018 and is returning after a left stopper injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Ernie's Legacy trialled over the 311m from box 4, weight 30.3kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4 starters. The time of the trial was 17.82, the greyhound won by a margin by 5 lengths.  Ernie's Legacy was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr N. Wakefield, the trainer of Dallas Sky regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Dallas Sky last raced on 27th February 2018 and is returning after a left hock injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Dallas Sky trialled over the 520m from box 1, weight 28.5kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4 starters. The time of the trial was 30.98, the greyhound won by a margin of 2 lengths. Dallas Sky was Cleared.
