Steward's Report
Amlin Miss and Tuiaki Dora collided soon after the start checking Bossino and Kalani Amy. Bossino and Kalani Amy collided approaching the first turn. Bossino was checked off Amlin Freddie on the first turn checking Bossino, Kalani Amy and News Print. Amlin Miss, Tuiaki Dora and Goorawin collided on the first turn checking Tuiaki Dora and severely checking Amlin Miss; News Print, Bossino and Kalani Amy were checked as a result causing Amlin Miss, News Print, Bossino and Kalani Amy to race wide. Amlin Freddie galloped on Tuiaki Dora on the first turn. Amlin Miss raced wide approaching the home turn. News Print cramped in the home straight.
News Print was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound showed signs of cramp, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms. C. Haigh the trainer of the greyhound News Print. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (cramp) Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a satisfactory trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
