Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms. A. Courts, the representative of Dyna Alita, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Dyna Alita last raced on 24/4/18. Ms. Courts stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an extended spell.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Blue Gene Bowie and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 2:07pm due to weight variation(GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr J. Barnes was fined the sum of $100.
A pre-race sample was taken from Banyuatis.
Blackpool Remi was quick to begin. Saxon Candy, Dyna Alita and Banyuatis were slow to begin.
Yeppy Allen and Lacarabine collided soon after the start. Lacarabine and Dyna Alita collided soon after the start checking Dyna Alita. Yeppy Allen and Lacarabine collided on the first turn checking Yeppy Allen. Saxon Candy checked off Yeppy Allen on the first turn. Banyuatis raced wide in the home straight.
