Steward's Report
Bluey Can Fly and Monoak were slow to begin.
Chase The Nugget and Able collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Pharoah's Dream and Blackpool Tipsy collided soon after the start. Riverdale Paddy and Sin And Spin collided approaching the first turn checking Riverdale Paddy. Pharoah's Dream checked off Blackpool Tipsy on the first turn. Able and Chase The Nugget collided on the first turn checking Chase The Nugget. Chase The Nugget galloped on Bluey Can Fly approaching the home turn. Pharoah's Dream and Able raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Supplementary Report - Geelong 10/8/2018 – Race 1
Stewards at Horsham today re-opened an enquiry regarding trainer, Mr Lindsay Morshead, leaving the course without permission and with regards to the racing manners of Chachi Arcola approaching the home turn in race one at Geelong on Friday, 10 August 2018.
Stewards spoke to Mr Lindsay Morshead, the trainer of the greyhound Chachi Arcola regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Chachi Arcola was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained left hindleg calf and right hindleg thigh muscle injuries, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Chachi Arcola with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Morshead pleaded guilty to the charge, Chachi Arcola was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
In taking evidence, Stewards accepted the explanation of Mr Morshead as to his reason for the leaving the course.
