Steward's Report
Ms A. Courts, representative of Oakmont Fury, declared a new weight of 30.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Oakmont Fury last raced at 28.8kg.
Smart Sailor and Limburg Sprite were quick to begin. Skeeta Storm was slow to begin.
Mystic Cruise, Oakmont Fury and Magical Diamond collided soon after the start checking Oakmont Fury and Magical Diamond. Skeeta Storm and Oakmont Fury collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Great Success and Smart Sailor collided approaching the first turn checking Smart Sailor. Mystic Cruise and Cullquin Bronn collided on the first turn checking Cullquin Bronn. Oakmont Fury raced wide rounding the first turn and the home turn. Limburg Sprite and Great Success collided approaching the home turn. Smart Sailor checked off Cullquin Bronn on the home turn. Mystic Cruise raced wide in the home straight.
Oakmont Fury was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Ms A. Courts, the representative of the greyhound Oakmont Fury. Stewards deemed the performance of Oakmont Fury unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Oakmont Fury must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr K. Tirchett, the trainer of Magical Diamond, regarding his failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing.
