Steward's Report
Temperature prior to this event - outside 29.1 degrees, kennels 19.8 degrees.
Disco Hips was quick to begin. Living Daylights and Romanova were slow to begin. Romanova was checked off Zipping Keely soon after the start. Zipping Keely and Romanova collided on the first turn. Piccolo Fratello and Disco Hips collided entering the back straight. Romanova was checked off Zipping Keely approaching the third turn. Disco Hips marred Living Daylights approaching the winning post.
Disco Hips was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Absalom the trainer of the greyhound Disco Hips regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Disco Hips with marring. Mr. Absalom pleaded guilty to the charge, Disco Hips was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
