Stewards dispersed the hot weather policy after race 6 due to drop in outside temperature.
The outside temperature at race start time was 27.8 degrees, the inside kennel temperature immediately prior to the race when the greyhounds were retrieved was 18.4 degrees, and the humidity was 56.1%.
Gehrig was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Mowgli and Joycee Rae collided soon after the start. Rapana, Manhattan Man and Proven Snow collided approaching the first turn. Manhattan Man and Proven Snow collided on the first turn checking Proven Snow. Rapana and Gehrig collided on the first turn.
