Critical Mass and King Plum were quick to begin. Sleek Machine and Rocking Gizmo were slow to begin.
Sleek Machine (contacted inside rail in running) underwent a post–race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Jason Stemmer, the trainer of Sleek Machine, after he left the course today without the permission of Stewards and without initially having the greyhound examined by the On-Track Veterinarian following the event. Mr. Stemmer subsequently returned to the course with Sleek Machine and completed those requirements. Mr. Stemmer was issued with a warning, pursuant to GAR 94(2). Stewards further spoke to Mr. Stemmer regarding his conduct on the telephone when initially directed to return to the course. Stewards issued Mr. Stemmer with a warning for inappropriate conduct, pursuant to GAR 165(a).
