Steward's Report
The outside temperature at race start time was 33.9 degrees, the inside kennel temperature immediately prior to the race when the greyhounds were retrieved was 20 degrees, and the humidity was 63.6.
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Smoke Signals scratched from this event on 6th December, 2018. pursuant to GAR 79A.
Mr.G.Paez, trainer of Soda Ezy, declared a new weight of 30.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Soda Ezy last raced at 31.1kg.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr J.Donaldon pursuant to GAR 86 (ag) for transporting greyhounds in a trailer not in compliance with the requirements of a heat affected meeting and cautioned that punitive sanctions will be forthcoming for any future breaches.
Arachnophobia and Kimura collided soon after the start. Travel Easy, Bombora Rocket, Soda Ezy and Whipdance collided at the 300m mark checking Bombora Rocket and Whipdance. Merl's Michu crossed to the outside at the 150m mark checking Soda Ezy. Merl's Michu raced wide for the entire event.
