Midnight Marzy was slow to begin.  Rico's Amore visibly eased and turned its head on the first turn severely checking Maina Honey.  Spolly's Jet was checked off Wyoming Express approaching the home turn.  Rico's Amore and Maina Honey collided several times approaching the home turn.  Wyoming Express and Spolly's Jet collided approaching the winning post.

Rico's Amore underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right monkey muscle and right shoulder joint.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Karabitsakos regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1) Rico's Amore was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Karabitsakos pleaded guilty to the charge, Rico's Amore must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Vanishka and Rose Rose collided soon after the start.  Inter Mimi and Croucher collided on the first turn checking Inter Mimi.  Vanishka and Rose Rose collided approaching the home turn.  Serious Bolt, Superior Primo and Lights Of Tanjil raced wide in the home straight.
