Maderra was slow to begin.
Love Laughing shifted in soon after the start checking Love Laughing, Maderra and Miami Fernando. Steve's Uggboot checked off Daytona Fernando on the first turn severely checking Steve's Uggboot and Kiwi Collision. Shady Buck blundered on the first turn and lost ground as a result. Steve's Uggboot and Kiwi Collision collided approaching the home turn.
Steve's Uggboot was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the right front toes, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
