Steward's Report

A pre–race urine sample was unable to be obtained from Let's Make Up, a post–race urine sample was subsequently taken.

Got My Mojo was quick to begin. Go See Ian and Parumba Prince were slow to begin.

Following the running of this event, it was reported to Stewards that trainer Mr. Phillip Repici had removed the incorrect greyhound Spinning Stars as opposed to his greyhound Speedy Bear from the kennel building. Stewards opened an inquiry with Mr. Repici. Acting under GAR 156(f), Stewards issued a charge for negligence in that Mr. Repici omitted to correctly identify his greyhound Speedy Bear when removing from the kennels. Mr. Repici pleaded guilty to the charge. Mr. Repici was found guilty as charged. After considering submissions on penalty, Stewards issued Mr. Repici with a fine to the amount of $150.00.

Farsight underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hip injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Bryan Sykes regarding Farsight’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Farsight was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Sykes declined the option to have the greyhound re–examined. Mr Sykes pleaded guilty to the charge. Farsight was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
