Stewards spoke to Ms. D. Goudge, the trainer of Nimble Rebel regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Nimble Rebel last raced on 10th November 2018. Ms. Goudge stated that the greyhound was returning from an extended spell.

Steve's Uggboot checked off Daytona Fernando on the first turn severely checking Steve's Uggboot and Kiwi Collision. Shady Buck blundered on the first turn and lost ground as a result. Steve's Uggboot was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the right front toes, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr Carter provided Stewards with a copy of a veterinary certificate for Why Not Kez, and Stewards accepted the explanation for the scratching.

Eaglehawk Miss and Why Not Macca collided soon after the start. Bundarra Magic and Tron's Empire collided soon after the start checking Bundarra Magic. Eaglehawk Miss checked off Why Not Macca approaching the first turn. Dyna Jules checked off Why Not Macca on the first turn. Tron's Empire checked off Dyna Jules on the first turn. Disco Lemonade checked off Why Not Macca on the first turn. Disco Lemonade and Dyna Jules collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight. Eaglehawk Miss raced wide on the home turn.

Mr. I Chircop, trainer of Mr. Uggboot declared a new weight of 35.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Mr Uggboot last raced at 36.4kg.

Clark Road went up with the lids at box rise and lost ground as a result. Mahjong Magic crossed to the running rail on the first turn checking Bumble Bee Bolto, Petey Baqui, Blackpool Funk and Why Not Loz causing Clark Road to race wide. Mahjong Magic and Calfuray collided on the home turn, causing Mahjong Magic to become unbalanced.

Mahjong Magic was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Harris, the handler of Mahjong Magic, regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight. After taking evidence from Mr. Harris and reviewing all available race footage, Stewards were satisfied that the greyhound became unbalanced after colliding with Calfuray and took no further action.

Golden Shiraz was a late scratching at 4.02pm due to a vehicle breakdown. A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. S. Drummond was fined the sum of $100. Mr. Drummond was advised that the standdown period and the fine would be lifted upon receipt of proof of the breakdown.

Pure Cool Titan was slow to begin.

Abimbola checked off Kouta Mayhem soon after the start. Abimbola, Ash Star and Maximum Kobi collided on the first turn checking Ash Star, Maximum Kobi and Pure Cool Titan. Ash Star and Pure Cool Titan collided approaching the home turn.

Reggie Ryan checked off Black Lazarus soon after the start. Reggie Ryan checked off Dyna Gunner on the first turn. Janray Mazel Tov and Yenderra Bazza collided on the first turn checking Yenderra Bazza. Yaritza Allen and Black Lazarus collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Yaritza Allen and Miss Oreo Mac raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Ms. A. Gurry, the trainer of the greyhound Yaritza Allen regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn. Yaritza Allen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to a monkey muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Yaritza Allen with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. A. Gurry pleaded not guilty to the charge, Yaritza Allen was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Conde and Gin Lee's Bullet collided on the first turn checking Gin Lee's Bullet. Master Winslow contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground. Kirabilli Poppy and Kiowa Kaema collided approaching the home turn. Kirabilli Poppy, Kiowa Kaema and Conde collided on the home turn. Master Winslow shifted out on the home turn and collided with Gin Lee's Bullet checking both greyhounds.
