Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Holland the trainer of Bruce's  Back regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Bruce's Back last raced on 09/10/18.  Mr. Holland stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right hock injury.

Curnow Keats and Hird From Bucks were quick to begin.  Yuken Win and Bruce's Back collided approaching the first turn checking Yuken Win.  National Girl brushed the running rail on the first turn and lost ground.  Puerto Reiko was checked off Bruce's Back approaching the home turn.  National Girl and Yuken Win raced wide in the home straight.

National Girl was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards conducted a check of catchers licences in this event and all were compliant.

Ado Carr was quick to begin.  Miss Conduct was slow to begin.  Ado Carr, Up And About and Fierce An' Fancy collided approaching the first turn checking Fierce An' Fancy and severely checking Up And About.  Heavy Fuel, Up And About and Miss Conduct collided on the first turn checking Miss Conduct and Up And About.  Fierce An' Fancy was checked off Ado Carr on the first turn.  Up And About was checked off Heavy Fuel approaching the home turn.  Beatrice crossed to the outside approaching the home turn.

Royal Jebrynah, Bavaro and Ally Oop Keats were quick to begin.  Hot Pies and One Thrill collided soon after the start checking One Thrill.  Bavaro galloped on Ally Oop Keats on the first turn checking Royal Jebrynah, Disco Norm and One Thrill causing Bavaro to lose ground.  One Thrill galloped on Royal Jebrynah approaching the home turn causing both greyhounds to lose ground.

Nangkita Keats and Miss Firebird were quick to begin.  Quiet Please was checked off Rosie Cotton approaching the first turn checking Mandible.  Jillsa raced wide on the first turn.

El Helecho and Romany Girl were quick to begin.  Vivian Shiraz was slow to begin.  Jessie's Star was checked off Romany Girl on the first turn.

Airly With Grace was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right shoulder muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Come On Emmaline was slow to begin.  Come On Emmaline, Yuko and Dr. Shreds collided approaching the first turn checking Come On Emmaline and Dr. Shreds.  Small Rose and Dr. Shreds collided approaching the first turn checking Dr. Shreds.  Small Rose and Dyna Alia collided approaching the first turn checking Small Rose.  Little Samara was checked off Stars And Lights entering the home straight checking Come On Emmaline.  Stars And Lights eased and failed to pursue the lure in the home straight checking Come On Emmaline.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Berry the trainer of the greyhound Stars And Lights regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Stars And Lights was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 10, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right triangle muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged Stars And Lights with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury.  Mr. Berry pleaded guilty to the charge, Stars And Lights was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Lightwood Lass was slow to begin.  Audacious Grace and Top Gem collided soon after the start checking Audacious Grace.  Top Gem and Cosmic Ollie collided approaching the first turn checking Cosmic Ollie.  Lightwood Lass and Minter Bee Cash collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Stewards conducted a check of catchers licences in this event and all were compliant.

Rickett's Point, Dyna Arrow, Flying Danger, Pagan Dancer, Beau Gem and Rurik collided soon after the start checking Rickett's Point, Flying Danger, Pagan Dancer and Rurik.  Flying Danger was checked off Pagan Dancer on the first turn causing Pagan Dancer to stumble checking Rickett's Point and Rurik.  Flying Danger raced wide in the home straight.

Mrs. S. Collins the trainer of Spot On Cinta declared a new weight of 28.6kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Spot On Cinta last raced at 26.6kg.

Bombardier King, Belle's On Boost and Tahbilk were slow to begin.  Belle's On Boost was checked off Yuken Pay Me approaching the first turn checking Spotlight which collided with Tahbilk.  Spotlight, Belle's On Boost and Tahbilk collided on the first turn checking Spotlight and Belle's On Boost.

Stewards spoke to Mr. W. McMahon the trainer of Enzo regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Enzo last raced on 21/09/18.  Mr. McMahon stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injury to both hocks.  Mr. McMahon declared a new weight of 32.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Enzo last raced at 33.1kg.

Lucky Tetris and Property Power were quick to begin.  Master Mordecai was slow to begin.  Black Market was checked off Enzo on the first turn.  Lucky Tetris and Alberto collided in the home straight.

Enzo was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

A pre-race sample was taken from Ample Warning.

Shady Tex, Ample Warning and Shelbourne Star were quick to begin.  Go Go Guru was slow to begin.  Silvio Dante and Snoop A Loop collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Lightning Boxy and Ample Warning collided approaching the first turn checking Lightning Boxy.  Ample Warning and Shady Tex collided on the first turn checking Shady Tex and Lightning Boxy.  Ample Warning was checked off Shelbourne Star on the home turn causing Ample Warning to race wide.  Lightning Boxy was checked off Shady Tex entering the home straight.  Shady Tex and Ample Warning collided in the home straight.

Trainer Ms A. Terry presented the greyhound Eyes On You as requested GAR 23(3).  On examination by the On Track Veterinarian the greyhound was found to have a right wrist injury and a left chest muscle injury, the right wrist injury was consistent with the reason for the scratching of the greyhound from the Bendigo event.  In the opinion of the O.T.V it was considered to be a 14 day stand down injury.  Stewards spoke to Ms Terry in relation to her knowledge of any betting activities on the event.  Ms Terry stated she had not supported any greyhound in this event.
