Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mrs. A. Panetta, the handler of Cruising Solo regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Cruising Solo last raced on 26th June 2018. Mrs Panetta stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injury to the right hock.
Love A Chat was quick to begin. Cruising Solo and Kimura were slow to begin.
Cruising Solo checked off Don's Noisey soon after the start and lost ground as a result. Don's Noisey checked off Kimura approaching the first turn. Kimura and Ruby's Rosa collided approaching the home turn, on the home turn and again entering the home straight. Love A Chat and Lacarabine collided on the home turn. Electric Hippy and Octo Flash collided approaching the winning post.
Cruising Solo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained shin soreness to the right hind leg, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
