Steward's Report

A pre race sample was taken from Kissable. 

Fawn Secrets and Inga Ross were slow to begin.  

Fairly Legal pulled up soon after the start.  Axel's A Rebel and Aston Jewel collided approaching the first turn.  Fawn Secrets checked off Kissable approaching the first turn.  Inga Ross and Sarah Smirnoff collided on the first turn. Fawn Secrets checked off Aston Jewel entering the home straight. Aston Jewel checked off Axel's A Rebel entering the home straight. Fawn Secrets and Aston Jewel collided in the home straight. 

Fawn Secrets was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right fore leg toe, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Fairly Legal was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Mandylaris, the trainer of the greyhound Fairly Legal regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Fairly Legal with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Mandylaris pleaded guilty to the charge, Fairly Legal was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
