Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Bold Reflection.
Where's Lachie and Magic Maya were slow to begin. Remo Gully and Nimble Lucy collided soon after the start. Dr. Gidget eased approaching the first turn. Where's Lachie and Bold Reflection collided approaching the second turn checking Where's Lachie, Bold Reflection and Remo Gully. Dr. Gidget and Bold Reflection collided on the second turn checking Dr. Gidget. Magic Maya checked off Aladdin Prince on the third turn. Dr. Gidget checked off Where's Lachie approaching the home turn.
Stewards spoke to Ms. J. Gill, the representative of the greyhound Dr. Gidget regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the first turn. Dr. Gidget was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound was found to have soreness in the left and right back muscles and left and right pencil muscles, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Dr. Gidget with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Gill pleaded Not Guilty to the charge, Dr. Gidget was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
